5 Envy-Inducing Libraries

I love libraries.  My future house will definitely have one.  Add a great book, a hot cup of tea, and a light blanket, and I may never leave!  Some of my favorite spaces:

The color scheme of this space invites light to come illuminate the room.  The use of the loft space and the awkward ceiling/wall angle is very creative.

That ceiling!  That woodwork!  That carved spiral staircase!  George Lucas built this research library in the 1970s out on Skywalker Ranch in California.  It houses over 27,000 books, plus other materials (movies, periodicals, etc).

Plenty of natural light to read by, minimalist staircases and ladder, and even more space above!

Perfect use of a little corner in a small apartment.  I love the armchair and the placement of the space (right by a window for TONS of natural light!!).  Cozy, quirky, and downright adorable.

A little eclectic, not too organized, and creative seating!

What do you like in a library?  Airy, bright colors and lots of natural light, or dark woods, cozy spaces, and golden sconces?  Leave a comment below!
