East Trip: Part II

Round Two!

Harper's Ferry, NY.  Site of the John Brown raid.  They have all the original buildings with old-timey stores and such.  This one was a clothing store.  It was really cool, but kinda creepy at the same time.

The general store.

Bell teaching us the correct position to take a picture.

Abraham Lincon, in all his glory.

The Rotunda inside the capital.  Stunning architecture!

Inside the Library of Congress.  Easily the most breathtaking building I have ever set foot in.  There are seriously no words.

We witnessed a gay marriage protest outside the US Supreme Court (they were voting on Prop 8 and something else that day), and I particularly enjoyed these two signs.

Laying the wreath on GW's grave!

'Nuff said.

Tower of Books inside the Lincoln Museum.  All books about Lincoln, spiraled and stacked for over 5 stories!

Standing in the breadline.

FDR, phone home.

Yes, I am rodeo-riding FDR's dog.  His (her?) name was Fala (not Toto!)

"Out of a mountain of despair, a stone of hope."
-MLK, Jr. Memorial.
Very thought-provoking...

And that's that!
